Mark 2:15-17
“And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
When we talk to people who agree with what we are saying, we often say that we are “preaching to the choir” meaning that choir is already at church and has learned about the truth of the Gospel. Where we need to be preaching is to the people who need to hear the Gospel. If we only talk to the people who believe we will never spread the word to non-believers so that they can believe. Don’t be afraid to go out and share the great news about Christ. This does not have to be much, sometimes it only takes a quick smile for Christ to touch a heart.

Second Book of Nephi 22
“And in that day thou shalt say; O Lord, I will praise thee; though thou wast angry with me tine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedest me. Behold, god is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore, with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall yea say: Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things; this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.”
No matter what we do, God will forgive us if we ask and praise his name. The number one commandment is “Love thy God will all thy heart.” If we do this we can always come home, not matter what we have done.

Psalms 100:
“A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
On this day of Thanksgiving, it is important to give God thanks for all the blessings in our lives. God has the powerful way of reminding us how much we need him. Every time we think we can do it on our own, we realize we can’t. Without God we would be void of life and love, both or sad to think about.

Message 116:9
“Faith, repentance, the baptisms, teaching Jesus Christ and his atoning blood in redemption that salvation will come to all that hear and obey the full plan as taught in the Bible, The Record of the Nephites, and The Word of the Lord, the words I bring as the angel of God. I am his Messenger, a resurrected being. I am John the Baptist, I am the Elias.”
As much as we talk about baptism, there is more to it then that. In order to for the baptism to be accepted by God, a person must have Faith and Repentance in that baptism. Apart of that baptism, laying on of the hands, also must be completed by a minister with the true priesthood authority. God is a loving and merciful God, but his plan must be followed to the letter.

Romans 6:3-6
“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”
When we do decide to go thought the waters of baptism, we start anew. It does not mater what we have done in our lives up to this point, everyone is is clean in the eyes of the Lord. This is the beauty of true repentance and forgiveness that only God can give. We need to thankful for his mercy.

Moroni 6:1-3
“And now i speak concerning baptism. Behold, elder, priests, and teachers were baptized; and they ere not baptized save they brought forth fruit that they were worthy of it. Neither did they receive any unto baptism save they came forth with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, and witnessed unto the church that they truly repented of all their sins. And non were received unto baptism save they took upon them the name of Christ, having a determination to serve him unto the end.”
When we join the God’s church, we have to do it his way. We just can’t say “I want to join, but I am not going to follow the rules” If God did not hold the standard high, then evil would run wild. No one is above God’s plan or ways.

Message 37:9 “Let those that are willing to labor help all they can in this Work, but remember to keep order in the House of the Lord. Defile not the Holy Rites. Those that will help with all their might their reward is sure.”
If we serve the Lord, we will get our reward. I can think of nothing better then spending eternity with God in his glory. It is not hard, just do the job giving us. In that job though, we can not change how God has organized or set up the Church for our benefit.

Message 90:5 “The Lord will water the seed you have sown. Many more shall yet come. Much more shall yet come to pass of miracles and healings and a better way in the lives of many.”
God is doing a great work. When we look to how small things have become, we need to not worry. God promises that there will be lots of people wanting to hear his words. We have to keep doing what we are called, and let God do the rest.

Message 82:38 “I will come again. I leave peace with you and all that hear. Amen”
John always leaves God’s peace when he comes. It is important to remember that God’s Peace is only a short prayer away from us. It is the comfort that we need in the bad times and the happiness in the good times.

Eph 4:4-6 “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
There is only one God, and he only has one plan.

I am going to try something new. I am going to post a thought or a verse every day. This will allow everyone to start their day out on a positive note. If you have any thing that you want posted let me know.
Chris
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
We have to have it in order to be apart of God Church and receive his blessings. It is a simple think that, but sometimes seems so hard.
