Message 22:14-15

14  Remember: Zion shall not be moved out of her place, nor Jerusalem from her former dwelling place, for the Lord made a covenant with Israel at Horeb, and he will gather his people that are obedient, in their land. And their cities shall again be cleansed and righteousness shall again be in its borders. And the Lord shall remember them, and they shall accept Christ as their Savior, and the gospel as their law forever.

15  And this nation shall be cleansed, and then shall it be Zion, for the Lord will bless this land and the people that will keep his commandments and walk in humility before him. But the heady and highminded he will visit with destruction, and those that have robbed the widow and fatherless, and have taken that which is not their own.

Israel will receive their land that God promised them in the Middle East, but the key to the promise is that they will accept Christ as their savior.  America will also be the place where Christ will return. The people in this land will also be cleansed and follow his commandments.

Galatians 3:24-29

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

All are able to receive the salvation that Christ brought with him. To receive this promise though we must believe on Christ and follow his teachings. Just because you are a direct descendent of Abraham does not mean that you will be in heaven when Christ comes. You still need be baptized in Christ.

Galatians 3:14-19

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

The promise that God made to Abraham was not the law or the rules that must be followed. It was that his children would be saved through faith. All people that are believers in Christ are included in that promise. We need to remember that the law was created for the man, but the promise was created for the salvation.

Galatians 3:6-9

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Anyone who believes onto Christ is considered a child of Abraham. This is important because that the true promise to Abraham was his children will receive salvation. Our faith in Christ is what connects us to Abraham. We are his children.

Alma 19:1-13

And it came to pass that after two days and two nights they were about to take his body and lay it in a sepulcher, which they had made for the purpose of burying their dead. Now the queen having heard of the fame of Ammon, therefore she sent and desired that he should come in unto her. And it came to pass that Ammon did as he was commanded, and went in unto the queen, and desired to know what she would that he should do. And she saith unto him: The servants of my husband have made it known unto me that thou art a prophet of a Holy God, and that thou hast power to do many mighty works in his name; Therefore, if this is the case, I would that ye should go in and see my husband, for he has been laid upon his bed for the space of two days and two nights; and some say that he is not dead, but others say that he is dead and that he stinketh, and that he ought to be placed in the sepulcher; but as for myself, to me he doth not stink. Now, this was what Ammon desired, for he knew that king Lamoni was under the power of God; he knew that the dark veil of unbelief being cast away from his mind, and the light which did light up his mind, which was the light of the glory of God, which was a marvelous light of his goodness—yea, this light had infused such joy into his soul, the cloud of darkness having been dispelled, and the light of everlasting light was lit up in his soul, yea, he knew that this had overcame his natural frame, and he was carried away in God— Therefore, what the queen desired of him was his only desire. Therefore, he went in to see the king according as the queen had desired him; and he saw the king, and he knew that he was not dead. And he saith unto the queen: He is not dead, but he sleepeth in God, and on the morrow he shall rise again; therefore bury him not. And Ammon saith unto her: Believest thou this? And she said unto him: I have had no witness save thy word, and the word of our servants; nevertheless I believe that it shall be according as thou hast said. And Ammon said unto her: Blessed art thou because of thy exceeding faith; I say unto thee, woman, there has not been such great faith among all the people of the Nephites.  And it came to pass that she watched over the bed of her husband, from that time even until that time on the morrow which Ammon had appointed that he should rise. And it came to pass that he arose, according to the words of Ammon; and as he arose, he stretched forth his hand unto the woman, and said: Blessed be the name of God, and blessed art thou. For as sure as thou livest, behold, I have seen my Redeemer; and he shall come forth, and be born of a woman, and he shall redeem all mankind who believe on his name. Now, when he had said these words, his heart was swollen within him, and he sunk again with joy; and the queen also sunk down, being overpowered by the Spirit.

Faith is a powerful thing. It only takes a small amount to see great benefits. Miracles also are a great tool of God. People from around the world see miracles as proof of God’s love. Will you have faith in God and believe in Christ’s gospel?

Luke 13:18-19

Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

All it takes is just a little faith. Do you have faith?

Matthew 9:20-22

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

All it takes to receive Christ’s blessings is faith and a little action. This woman had the faith that all she had to do was touch Christ’s clothes and she would be healed. So she went and did it. She did not sit around saying how close she was to doing it, or how it was unfair that Christ did not come to her. She went out and took action on her faith. We have to do the same thing today with our faith. We can’t wait for Christ to walk up and do everything for us. We have to have the faith that when we reach out to touch him we will be healed.

Matthew 8:19-22

And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

The time to follow Christ is now. We need to stop wasting our time with things that do not matter and start focusing in on the one thing that will save us. It is easy to get caught up in life, but we need to keep our eye on the prize and not get caught up in the distractions of this world.

2nd Nephi31:15-21

And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the words of my Beloved are true and faithful. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. And now, my beloved brethren, I know by this that unless a man shall endure to the end, in following the example of the Son of the living God, he cannot be saved. Wherefore, do the things which I have told you that I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost. And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witness of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive. And now, my beloved brethren, after that ye have got into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of Him who is mighty to save. Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life. And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the Kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.

There is only one way to spending eternal life with Christ in heaven. It is real simple: Faith, Repentance, and Baptism. After you complete those steps you just simply continue on your journey that you started with them. You must keep following the straight and narrow path until the end, yours or the earth’s. This is the only way.

Message 64:7

Lift up your strength in the Lord. In times past you have been delivered from the pitfalls of Satan. The plan of the evil one to destroy shall be frustrated. Heed wisdom. Those the Lord has sent you for encouragement to stand by this work shall be blessed, for in peace they shall find rest. Many blessings shall come to the humble.

In our hard time and in our good we need to remember the give thanks to God. There are times in our lives that we might feel that God has forsaken us or left us alone, but this is not true. God is always there, we just might not like what he is saying. God does not promise to make us rich or give us all of our dreams, but he will always give us what we need and the strength to make it through. He does this by his spirit, his word, and the servants. Don’t be afraid to seek the help of others, in your problems. God has a huge army of workers that he can use any way that he wants.

Matthew 2:13-18

And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

Just like the Lord did for his Son and earthly family, God will always protect us when we need it. King Harod did was afraid of Jesus because he would become King of the Jews, but what they did not understand was the type of King that Jesus was going to become. When King Harod killed all the little babies, the Lord made sure that Joseph had moved the family to Egypt to save the young Christ’s life. Since we are all God’s children we can be reassured that when we need protection, God will be right there to give it. Sometimes it might be different than what we want, but God will never leave us.

James 1:2-6

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Let us have patience in our lives. It is important to remain strong in Christ. Sometimes it is hard for us to understand what the larger plan is, but we have to have faith and patience in Christ. Christ will not leave us alone and will always give us what we need when we need it.

Message 72:16

Deliverance shall come and the faithful shall stand.

No matter what happens in our life, if we stay faithful, we will be delivered from this life stand with Jesus.  When times become difficult, we know we will be able saved in the end.

Alma 37:33

Preach unto them repentance, and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ; teach them to humble themselves and to be meek and lowly in heart; teach them to withstand every temptation of the devil, with their faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.

The base of the Gospel of Christ is that we have to have faith in Christ and that he will take away our sins when we repent. We also have to strive to stay clean and like Christ. Being a follower of Christ is not a part time job.

Jacob 4:6-7

Wherefore, we search the prophets, and we have many revelations and the spirit of prophecy; and having all these witnesses we obtain a hope, and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea. Nevertheless, the Lord God showeth us our weakness that we may know that it is by his grace, and his great condescensions unto the children of men, that we have power to do these things.

It is though God that all things are possible. With the power of God on our side we can do anything. Because God has power over everything, if we allow him to be in us, we have power over everything. We do great thing let us remember that it God that does them, but with him all things are possible.

Message 76:5

Satan’s work will be destroyed. The Lord sees the faith and good works of those that do his will. Continue and your way will be pleasant.

The work that God sees us in faith and peace pleases him. If we continue to do his will we will see the destruction of Satan. That destruction is going to happen. I feel sorry for the people who do not know of God and that follow Satan when that happens. It will be a sad day for them. Let us try to continue to do the good works to enjoy peaceful life and not one full of pain that awaits the people who don’t.

Article 10

We believe in the principle of continuous revelation; that the canon of scripture is not full, that God inspires men in every age and among all people, and that he speaks when, where, and through whom he may choose.

God has not finished giving us information. There is no reason to limit him to what we already have. He does this by his Messenger and through prophecies. God can choose any person he wants for the responsibility. The important thing to remember is that God will never contradict himself. Any new revelation must agree with the Gospel in the Bible, The Record of the Nephites, and the Word of the Lord. For further study read Acts 2:17-21, Acts 4:31, Acts 21:9, Joel 2:27-30, 1 Corinthians 2:10, 1 John 2:27, and1 Nephi 13:26.

Article 9.

We believe that in the Bible is contained the word of God; that The Record of the Nephites is an added witness for Christ, and that these contain the fullness of the gospel.

The Bible is a record of the Jews, but there are more people that are part of the House of Israel. The Record of the Nephites is a recorded of the house of Joseph. The Record of the Nephites was translated though the power or God. This allows it to have more accurate information that complements the Bible. Both the Bible and the Record of the Nephites are the word of God. For further study read Ezekiel 37:15-19, Malachi 3:1-7, Isaiah 29:11-14, Message 115:14, Message 104:12, Amos 3:7, 2 Nephi 29:11-12, and 1 Nephi 13:26.

Message 41:12

“I will cause my servants to be strong in the Lord that they shall stand before multitudes and proclaim the message of life to many that know it not, and thousands shall obey, for they shall come from afar and the hosts of Israel shall know their places. Therefore, be of good cheer, be pleasant in your work, speak the truth in humility, in kindness be your thoughts. Remember to be faithful and true, and the Lord God shall bring to pass all his strange act and fulfill all the promises that gladden the hearts of all those that think upon the Lord.”

We should be at peace knowing that God is in charge.  He tells us to trust him in all that we do. When we are week we can rest and know that God is our strength. He can get us though anything, no matter how hard that it seems.

Ephesians 4:11-13

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ”

When Christ gave his authority to mankind, he told how long we would need to preach in his name.  We have to preach until “the unity of faith.” It is obvious in the world today that there is not a unity of faith. This means that we must still go out and preach his name. The day of unity is getting closer though, so let us watch out for we know not when that day will come.
