Message 81:24

Heed my message for this is my mission. The doctrine is given, and is set forth in the Bible, the Record of the Nephites, and The Word of the Lord, the words I bring.

All three book contain the fullness of the gospel of Christ. Each one has a part, but it takes all three to see the whole picture. If you read all three, you will see that they agree 100%, because they are all words of God. Please read and study the books and pray to God to give you understanding. Message 66:2

Behold, I am the servant of the Lord, the blessed one sent of God. I come from his presence and my name is John. I am the same that was and is called the Baptist. I am the Elias. I bring the Elijah Message many have looked for. I bring words of the Lord. I bring a warning.

We know that the messages that we today are brought by the same messenger that the Lord promised us that he would send. We know this because he told us so. John explains several times in the messages that he is the one that God has sent and what his mission is. The words that he brings agree with the ones that we already have in the Bible and The Record of the Nephits.

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Just because someone says that they are following God does not mean that they are telling the truth.  There will be lots of people who are doing great works that will not get into the Kingdom of Heaven.  We need to study the words of God to make sure that what people are doing and telling us agree wholly with God’s words.  God’s words can be found in the Bible, The Record of the Nephites, and The Word of the Lord.

From An Address to All Believers in Christ.

“Joseph did not know how it was, so he inquired of the Lord about it, and behold the following revelation came through the stone: “Some revelations are of God: some revelations are of men: and some revelations are of the devil.”

As we learn about God and Christ, we tend to follow the teachings of our elders.  As the prophets of old, we always have to be careful about what we believe.  There are several great men the history of the Church, going back to thousands of years, that have said things that are not of God, but thought they were.  We have to measure the words of our leaders against the known reference:  The Bible, The Record of the Nephits, and The Word of the Lord.  We have to be careful not trust the man, but God.

Revelation 14:6-7

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

We can rejoice in the fact God is sending us out to teach the everlasting gospel.  The gospel is found in the Bible, Word of the Lord, and The Record of the Nephites. The message in the gospel is one of repentance and love.  When people hear about the truth, they will rejoice and praise God in his fullest

Revelation 10: 1-11

Rev 10:1  And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
Rev 10:2  And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
Rev 10:3  And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
Rev 10:4  And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
Rev 10:5  And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
Rev 10:6  And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
Rev 10:7  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Rev 10:8  And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
Rev 10:9  And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
Rev 10:10  And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
Rev 10:11  And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

“And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.   And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.  And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. When people hear about the message that John is bringing from Christ, they will rejoice and be happy that God is sending his messenger as promised.  It will be “sweet as honey” to the people.  Once the people read it however it will become bitter.  Not because the word of God is bitter, but because the people will realize their sins.  There will be lots of people who do not accept the message because of they will not want to change from their ways.  The traditions of men can be very comforting, but they are not the way of salvation.

Message 88: 8

“Let all things be done in order – and comely. If the Spirit mellows and calmeth the soul, it is of God. Serve the Lord in Praise, in Joy and Peace. Pray earnestly and the Master of men will manifest his Power.”

Where God is, God’s peace rains though.  We can tell when things are from God because the peace that comes with it.  There are no doubts, no worries, just peace.  We have to be open to receive this gift, if our hearts are closed to God, we can not feel his power and love.  Seek the Lord and ask for his blessings, they will follow.

Message 64:5

There are those that seek to prophesy in the Lord’s name, and in vain they do speak their own words, for they know not his Spirit nor His Power, for God speaketh not to blaspheme. Fear them not.

As mentioned yesterday, God word will not contradict themselves. If someone who says what they speak is from God, but their worlds are full of blaspheme, it is not from God.  We have to be very careful not follow man, but follow God.

Message 48: 16

“All must remember this is the Lord’s Work, and all must come in by the door to assist in this great Work. This is the Lord’s directions. I speak His Will.”

In this game of Life, God is our coach.  He encourages us to do our best and play the game the way it is supposed to be be played.  To play on God team though, follow his rules.  God does not allow everyone to play on his winning team.  To make his team you have to join it the correct way.  Once on the team though, everyone gets to play.  God is shares his blessings to all his children.  If only life was so simple.

Message 12:4

“Behold, the Lord has rejected all creeds and factions of men, who have gone away from the word of the Lord and have become an abomination in his sight, therefore, let those that come to the Church of Christ be baptized, that they may rid themselves of the traditions and sins of men; preparing themselves, that they may be fit and worthy for the Spirit and power of the Holy Ghost, and as the greater power shall come, that they may be ready to receive it with joy. For this is the time of the restitution and restoration of all things, and this must come to all that shall be permitted to dwell in the presence of Christ, for sin cannot receive the glory of God, nor the power of the Holy Spirit.”

There is only one true Church of God.  The Church of Christ is the only church on in the wold that has Christ’s true gospel without any man made traditions added in.  There are several million people on this earth that serve God and love him very much, but they don’t have the true gospel of Christ.  God is perfect and does not change, so his church also has to remain the same, it is his plan.

Message 116:9

“Faith, repentance, the baptisms, teaching Jesus Christ and his atoning blood in redemption that salvation will come to all that hear and obey the full plan as taught in the Bible, The Record of the Nephites, and The Word of the Lord, the words I bring as the angel of God. I am his Messenger, a resurrected being. I am John the Baptist, I am the Elias.”

As much as we talk about baptism, there is more to it then that. In order to for the baptism to be accepted by God, a person must have Faith and Repentance in that baptism.  Apart of that baptism, laying on of the hands, also must be completed by a minister with the true priesthood authority. God is a loving and merciful God, but his plan must be followed to the letter.

Message 37:9 “Let those that are willing to labor help all they can in this Work, but remember to keep order in the House of the Lord. Defile not the Holy Rites. Those that will help with all their might their reward is sure.”

If we serve the Lord, we will get our reward.  I can think of nothing better then spending eternity with God in his glory.  It is not hard, just do the job giving us.  In that job though, we can not change how God has organized or set up the Church for our benefit.

Message 90:5 “The Lord will water the seed you have sown. Many more shall yet come. Much more shall yet come to pass of miracles and healings and a better way in the lives of many.”

God is doing a great work.  When we look to how small things have become, we need to not worry.  God promises that there will be lots of people wanting to hear his words.  We have to keep doing what we are called, and let God do the rest.

Message 82:38 “I will come again. I leave peace with you and all that hear. Amen”

John always leaves God’s peace when he comes. It is important to remember that God’s Peace is only a short prayer away from us.  It is the comfort that we need in the bad times and the happiness in the good times.
