Message 87:2-5

I have come to you at this place in this house, that I might again give assurance that this is the Lord’s work, and his will you have obeyed. The Lord has sent you to this land of Germany to bring the greater blessing to the brethren here. All those that help you and labor in this cause will be blessed. There are many honest of heart in this part of God’s great vineyard. Many will come forth to unite for God. Let all labor in love; be harsh with no one.

There are several things that John brings when he comes. One that is not talked about enough is the assurance that the work that we are doing is God’s work. This is not a man made idea, but the desires of our Lord. There are several people who are waiting to hear about this work. If we keep doing his will those people will get their chance to hear of this work.

Luke 9:1-3

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

When we go out teaching to the word of God we are supposed to depend on the people that we see for our survival. We try to stay at the houses of the people, we eat with them and we teach them. This allows God to use us in all manors in spreading his word. It is all a blessing to those that help the workers of God.

From Bro. Norm

Message 50:8 said, “The  Lord has spoken many times in the past, but few have heeded, for in their hearts they have heaped decrees unto themselves, and the will of the Lord they have forgotten. Again the Lord speaks—I come to bring his words. Let this message be taken to all parts of this nation, Alaska and Canada…”

Many people have decrees unto themselves. They have in their minds what they view as truths; when in reality it is far from true. Alaska is not a vast waste land with only bears, moose, dall sheep, outstanding fishing, and cool weather. It is also home to several million people who need and love God. They are enterprising people with faithful hearts, courage, and a willingness to make a difference to our nation and world. We discovered this in our past presidential election, as we watched the governor of Alaska:  Sarah Palin run for Vice President. While there are those who may not agree with her politics; we discovered Alaska is a real place with real people, who think independently and worship God just as we do. Did not God say we have forgotten His Will?  Perhaps we need to rethink Alaska, with it’s vast resources and wonderful people.

No verse today. I just want everyone to take in what Norm wrote about the missionary trip. It is a blessing to have God work is such powerful ways.  We need to thank him for his blessings and continue to pray they the blessing keep coming.  It is very exciting to see the progress of the Church and to know that God is doing a great work.  I can’t wait to see the same progress with my own eyes here in the states.

Message 13:2

Satan knows that his time is but short, therefore his power from beneath will work, and oppose the power from above. There is, and will be, distress of nations, and greater trouble shall come to pass. This nation is, and will be in great danger, for there is, and will be a great uniting of power and powers, for Satan will work to destroy all that he can of the good. As the restitution and restoration of all things will be at work, Satan will be there to disturb the minds and peace of men, and to hinder the good that they shall try to do.

There are going to be tough times ahead for us.  Satan knows that there will be a time that he will be put in his place.  When that time comes, Satan wants to take as many people with him as he can.  Satan will fight hard for every soul, but God will fight too.  We have to work hard to not only save ourselves, but others as well.

On another note it is good to hear that the Lord is blessing Larry and Norm on their trip so far.  Keep them in your prayers that God will continue to bless them.

Matthew 6:4

“But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.”

When we are out spreading the word or God, we can not get discourage if the people you know don’t listen. Keep telling people, no matter if they listen or not, let them decided if they want to hear and let God work on their heart.

Message 102: 14-16

“Let the work continue everywhere in the foreign fields where it can be established. Rejoice and be glad for it is the Lord’s will. It will yet grow and multiply greatly—adjust to the multitudes. Continue to spread to all nations among the Colored in love and justice. Peace will follow and all will be well, let it be the Lord’s will and not the ways of man. This is the assured way!”

As Norm and Larry are in Germany, getting ready to go to Africa, it is important that we keep them in our prayers.  As they travel around the around the world, it is important to remember why they are traveling.  It is our duty at members of the church to spread the word of God. We also need to know that we are teaching to the true gospel of God.  The messenger reassurance us that “this is the assured way.” As we teach others about this work, it nice to have that reassurance.
