2nd Nephi 6:11

Wherefore, after they are driven to and fro, for thus saith the angel, many shall be afflicted in the flesh and shall not be suffered to perish, because of the prayers of the faithful; wherefore, they shall be scattered, and smitten, and hated; nevertheless, the Lord will be merciful unto them, that when they shall come to the knowledge of their Redeemer, they shall be gathered together again to the lands of their inheritance.

Although the Lord was talking to the Nephites in this verse, we can still look at it today and get reassurance. Because our forefathers were humble and obeyed God, we know that the Lord will reunite Israel. It also means that if we do the same thing today, we will also receive the Lord’s blessings and enjoy eternity with our Redeemer.

3rd Nephi 13:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

The most important thing that we need to work on in the life is striving to get to heaven.  We do this by following the gospel of Christ. If we do this we will have all that we need in our lives. This is very reassuring.

Genesis 1:1-5

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

I don’t know how God did it, but it is nice to know that God created everything that we know.  Our world is very complex and it nice to know that there was a master plan behind it.  It is very comforting to know that the God that created us also helps me though my life. If he can oversee the beginning and make it work, he diffidently can help me though my problems in my simple life. How has God helped you in your life?

Message 41:12

“I will cause my servants to be strong in the Lord that they shall stand before multitudes and proclaim the message of life to many that know it not, and thousands shall obey, for they shall come from afar and the hosts of Israel shall know their places. Therefore, be of good cheer, be pleasant in your work, speak the truth in humility, in kindness be your thoughts. Remember to be faithful and true, and the Lord God shall bring to pass all his strange act and fulfill all the promises that gladden the hearts of all those that think upon the Lord.”

We should be at peace knowing that God is in charge.  He tells us to trust him in all that we do. When we are week we can rest and know that God is our strength. He can get us though anything, no matter how hard that it seems.

Message 102: 14-16

“Let the work continue everywhere in the foreign fields where it can be established. Rejoice and be glad for it is the Lord’s will. It will yet grow and multiply greatly—adjust to the multitudes. Continue to spread to all nations among the Colored in love and justice. Peace will follow and all will be well, let it be the Lord’s will and not the ways of man. This is the assured way!”

As Norm and Larry are in Germany, getting ready to go to Africa, it is important that we keep them in our prayers.  As they travel around the around the world, it is important to remember why they are traveling.  It is our duty at members of the church to spread the word of God. We also need to know that we are teaching to the true gospel of God.  The messenger reassurance us that “this is the assured way.” As we teach others about this work, it nice to have that reassurance.
