The Church of Christ with The Elijah Message
And If Ye Will Receive It
A WARNING
TO ALL PEOPLE OF THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
JOHN THE BAPTIST
(RESURRECTED)
HAS COME
THE PROMISED ELIJAH — THE LORD HAS SENT HIS MESSENGER OF THE
COVENANT TO CLEANSE, PURIFY AND TO RESTORE ALL THINGS
Question: Must there be a Restoration in preparation for the second coming of Christ?
Answer: "And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must
receive until the times of RESTITUTION of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy
prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise
up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And
it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the
people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have
likewise foretold of these days." — Acts 3:20-24.
Q. Who is the prophet like unto Moses who shall bring about the restitution of all things?
A. "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things." — Matthew 17:
11.
Q. To what prophecy was Jesus referring when he said, "Elias truly shall first come, and restore all
things?"
A. "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord." —
Malachi 4:5.
Note— The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek, hence we find Elijah in the
Old and Elias in the New; the same as the words Noah and Isaiah are written Noe and Esaias in the New
Testament.
Q. Was the preparation made by John the Baptist in the wilderness of Judea just "before the coming of the
great and dreadful day of the Lord," or is that "day" still in the future?
A. "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the
Lord come."—Joel 2:31
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her
light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall
appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:"—Matthew 24: 29, 30.
Q. But didn't an angel of the Lord tell Zacharias that his son whose name should be John would fulfill that
prophecy in Malachi 4:5 and 6?
A. Yes, "And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the
children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." — Luke
1:17.
Q. What other Biblical proof have we that John the Baptist is the Elijah or the Elias which shall restore all
things?
A. "And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? And Jesus
answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias
is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also
the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist." —
Matthew 17:10-13.
"And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come." — Matthew 11:14.
"And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the
Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at naught. But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed
come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him." — Mark 9:12, 13.
"And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,... And thou, child, shall be
called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shall go before the face of the Lord lo prepare his ways;" — Luke 1:
67 and 76.
Q. What proof is here in the Bible that John the Baptist was resurrected, so that he could come the second
time to prepare the way for Christ's second coming?
A. "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves
after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."—Matthew 27:52, 53.
Q. And what proof is there that he was a saint?
A. "For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist:"
—Luke 7:28.
"Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist:"
—Matthew 11:11.
Q. Is there any proof that the one to prepare the way should come as an angel?
A. "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that
dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear
God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and
earth, and the sea, and the fountain of waters."—Revelation 14: 6, 7.
"And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was
lightened with his glory."—Revelation 18:1.
Q. What signs have been given us that we may know when this preparation is taking place?
A. "... the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly
shaken. The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall jostle one against another in the broad ways: they
shall seem like torches, and they shall run like the lightnings."—Nahum 2: 3, 4.
"And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the
adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow,
and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts."—
Malachi 3:5.
"... for the hour of his judgment is come:"—Revelation 14:7.
Q. But what does John the Baptist have to offer me that I don't already have?
A. "... for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he
shall purify the sons of Levi (ministry), and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an
offering in righteousness. Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord, as in the
days of old, and as in former years."—Malachi 3:2-4.
"To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our
God; whereby the dayspring (sunrising) from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness
and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."—Luke 1: 77-79.
"... having the everlasting gospel (with its restored authority) to preach unto them that dwell on the earth,"—
Revelation 14:6.
He is the "servant" sent with your invitation to the "great supper" of Luke 14.
"... then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." — Daniel 8:14.
"And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and
the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and
it shall stand for ever."—Daniel 2:44.
Q. But isn't it sufficient to keep the full gospel law, as given in the Bible? What's the difference if we don't
obey the Messages?
A. "... him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every
soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people."— Acts 3:22, 23.
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I
will require it of him."—Deuteronomy 18:19.
EXTRACTS TAKEN FROM THE WORDS OF THE ANGEL MESSENGER
We quote from John's words: "I am John the Baptist. I am sent from God with full power and authority, to set in
order, to prepare the way of the Christ that shall come, to warn the people of things that shall come to pass, to
preach the gospel, to set the Church in order. I am come to you in light. I come to you in power. I come as the
Messenger of the Lord, but I come to you in love. I come to save the people from destruction. Will they heed it?"
(Message 18:17.)
"My message is one of love to them that will obey it." (Message 11:12.)
"I will come to you from time to time to bring light; to direct; to help; and instruct the people of the Lord; to warn
the world, that none will have an excuse at the last day. Amen.” (Message 22:23.)
"I am John the Baptist. I am he that cried repentance in the wilderness. I am the Messenger spoken of by the
prophets of old. I am the man sent from God, and my name is John. This I give to all people that they might
know that I have come." (Message 24:2.)
"I have come to you as a messenger from God. I have not come of myself, but the Lord your God has sent me. I
am the Messenger of the Covenant. I came at the time of Christ to prepare the way before Him, from the old to
the new; again I am sent to prepare the way before Christ, and to bring the last, for this is the closing time. My
message is to all people, and every nation, color or race." (Message 24:1.)
"Let this message be taken to each nation and race in their own language and tongue, and their own color, for
God looks upon the heart."
" ‘Thus saith the Lord your God to the children of Israel: Be ye comforted, for I will gather you from the north and
from the south, and from the east and from the west, and from the islands of the sea, and will bring you again
in your own land that I promised to your father Abraham’." (Message 24:3, 4.)
" ‘I have sent John the Baptist, the son of Zacharias, in the spirit and power of Elias, preparing the hearts of the
fathers to the children, and the disobedient to be just, for he is the Messenger of the Covenant to all people, for
I the God of Israel am no respecter of persons, for all that will love the Lord, and keep the commandments that
My Son has brought to earth are accepted of Me’."
" ‘Behold, I am again establishing My Church and My Kingdom upon earth, and My gospel shall again be
preached in its fullness as in former years, and those that shall obey My law and keep My commandments
shall be My people and I will be their God, and they shall not be in want, for I will bless their land and their
flocks and will lead them as in days of old, for I will walk and talk with them, and they shall weep no more, for
sin shall not be there’." (Message 24:8, 9.)
“There are those that have robbed the Lord of one-tenth of that which was the Lord’s. They have taken it for their
pleasure, and have said in their hearts, ‘This is mine.’ ‘Hearken unto me, says the Lord your God, all that thou
hast I have given thee, and I shall require one-tenth thereof, that the poor that are poor indeed may be fed; that
the gospel might be preached, and the Kingdom of God might be established on earth in its fullness, and the
Church set in order in its completeness’.” (Message 22:19.)
“Remember the Lord Jesus Christ is the truth, the way and the life. No other way can mankind be saved and
that in the life of the flesh, this life of probation only, mankind chooses this day what his destiny shall be in the
hereafter—in the resurrection.” (Message 81: 13.)
“Let the Church and all men respect the resurrection, for with it there is hope for all mankind. Come together
and worship on the first day of the week—but remember God always. Keep the Lord's day holy." (Message 84:
3.)
"As mankind subdues the earth and climbs to other spheres and planets, learns God’s great universe, the
closer he comes to unveiling all mysteries, and understandings be uncovered." (Message 81:27.)
12. "Turn away from the secular and claimed peculiar, but be ye a righteous people."
13. "The Lord's people are peculiar, but not ridiculous or sordid fashions and styles—or conspicuous in
attractions—not of good works. These will lead astray."
21. "There is no re-incarnation. Such thoughts are of the evils of man."
31. "I am the Messenger to restore all things. I bring a book of instructions, prophecy and commands to all
men, to every branch of the house of Israel." (Message 85.)
24. "The great stumbling block put out by the mind of man is to say Jesus Christ is that prophet like unto
Moses, when it is I, John the Baptist, the forerunner—the Messenger called the Elias which was for to come."
25. "A prophet represents, and Christ is God himself. I represent Him."
46. "There are many the Lord has called that represent His word and are doing a mighty work. But when they
hear this message, the words I bring from the Lord, and the Spirit reveals to them it is true, they shall accept it
and their calling to higher work. They will be filled to overflowing with power to represent Christ and His Church,
the Lamb's Bride, overwhelming with the power and the Spirit and the working of miracles on many of the gifts
of the gospel. Hear, O hear! Ye ministers of peace and God will give you the soul winning power. Come all the
way."
60. "In the Bible and Record of the Nephites contains the teachings and pattern of the fullness of the gospel in
its plain and precious parts. But my words and authority gives the right to set the Church in order —The Church
of Christ with the holy priesthood authority — and power to act in the establishing the Kingdom of God on earth
and bringing in the Zion of the Lord. The Kingdom and the dominion shall be for the saints of the Most High."
61. "The honest in heart that hear, that have heard the Spirit in the past will hear this message now and in
obedience receive of this authority and add my words to their teaching and training to become joint heirs in the
body of Christ and members of the Bride, the Lamb's Church, for when He comes to claim His jewels. Let
them come in by the door, the hands laid on them and take the name: The Church of Christ, with the Elijah
Message." (Message 86.)
22. "The law and the prophets spoke until I come. Now all mankind, all churches, all creeds and factions must
hear my words and know what I have spoken and will yet speak."
23. "Without me and the words of the Lord I bring, they build upon the sands where the storms of life and the
doctrines of men will sweep them away and their works come to naught." (Message 88.)
Whether you are Jew or Gentile, Catholic or Protestant, we want you to understand that the Lord God of Israel is
now sending the long awaited Elijah Messenger as it was foretold by the holy prophets and promised by Jesus
Christ.
This heavenly Messenger is coming from the presence of God and his message is for all. You too need to give
his word prayerful consideration. Jesus said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word
that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4) Is it true? Has God again spoken? You need to know
for yourself.
